Lori M Dunkle
Born: November 5, 1963
In 2003 Lori was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Over the next 5 years she struggled to combat her cancer and to be a wife and a mother. One of her greatest challenges was in losing her Health insurance to technicalities that she felt were unjust and unfair.

During this time she and her family learned firsthand how it was to pay incredible fees for prescription drugs that sometimes worked, but more often did not. Sometimes these drugs were 500 dollars a month for a single prescription. It was during her treatments at Dartmouth Hospital that the idea to create a website, to in part help those with similar needs, began to take root.

In her last weeks we struggled to create the concept and find the right people to help make this happen. This is a work in progress. Pictures for a dollar is partnering with Dartmouth Hospital to start a program wherein those in need can gain immediate assistance for their prescription drugs. Your willingness to buy these pictures will make this happen. This will ensure the legacy of Lori Dunkle and all who have bravely fought the fight against Breast cancer and indeed, cancers in all forms.

Lori lost her battle with cancer on August 15 2008. Her spirit and memories live on. Some of them will be displayed within these pages.
